This policy applies to the DoSome mobile app and dosome.life. Earlier versions and materials may call the app Dosum; both names refer to the same app.
What information the app uses
DoSome can save the content you choose to put in it: recipes, ingredients, activity or outing ideas, shared links, lists, journal entries, notes, and any photos you choose to add. The app uses a Firebase anonymous account identifier to associate saved content with your installation. You do not need to give us your name or email address to use that anonymous account.
If you contact us, we receive the information you send, such as your email address and the contents of your message. Technical information such as app version, device details, and diagnostics may be processed to keep the service working and investigate problems.
Permissions and features
If you use a feature involving your location, maps, photos, camera, or device media, the app may ask for the relevant device permission. The information you select or create is used for the feature you chose. You can change permissions in your device settings, though the related feature may then be unavailable. Sharing a link or content into DoSome also provides the app with the material you chose to share.
The app is in early testing. Some features may be incomplete or unavailable in a particular version.
Why we use it
- To save and show your recipes, plans, lists, and journal entries.
- To provide the app features you choose to use, including maps and shared content.
- To maintain security, diagnose errors, respond to support requests, and improve reliability.
Where it goes
DoSome uses Google Firebase services for anonymous sign-in and storing app data. When you import a recipe or link, processing services may receive that material to help extract and organize it. Google and other providers needed to run the app or website may process data for those services. Content may also go to a third-party website or service when you deliberately open a link or use a sharing feature. We do not sell your saved recipes, activities, or journal entries.
If a version of the app displays ads, the ad provider may process device or usage information to deliver and measure those ads. The app’s published app-ads.txt identifies authorized ad sellers; it is not itself a record of your activity.
How long we keep it
Saved content is retained to make it available in the app. Support messages and technical records may be kept for as long as needed to answer requests, troubleshoot problems, protect the service, and meet applicable obligations. To ask about or request deletion of app data, email us using the address below. Because the app uses anonymous accounts, include the information needed to identify your installation or saved content; we may ask for additional details to avoid deleting someone else’s data.
Your choices
You can decide what to save or share, change device permissions, and contact us about your data. Removing the app from your device may not delete content already stored with your anonymous account. Contact us if you want help with a deletion request.
Children
DoSome is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, contact us so we can review and address it.
Changes and contact
We will update this page and its effective date when our privacy practices change. For privacy questions, support, or deletion requests, email social@dosome.life.
